First off, I know that the Cavs lost. The way they played against Orlando didn't warrant any other outcome. The only other outcome for me from that series is that I now hate Dwight Howard. I used to think that he was this monster, and couldn't be stopped, and always manned up. He's still a beast, but he is also a whiner and NEVER quits smiling even when there is no reason. Wipe that smirk off your face and be ready to get dominated by the Lake Show. End Cavs talk until draft day.
Today I was approached with a situation that I was not ready for. A close friend came to me to let me know that his world had been turned upside down. His girlfriend is pregnant, and it was obviously unplanned and unexpected. But was it? Realistically the only way that it can happen is if you make a previous decision to have sex in the first place. I am by no means saying that I am any better or more responsible than anyone else reading this or involved in the situation. But it did make me think about how it relates to every around us, and how no one wants to face the consequences of life's decisions, even if they were known before it ever occurred.
Not to get overly philosophical, but I really do think that this is a microcosm of what is wrong with society's (including myself) attitude towards life. All we care about is instant gratification. Everything immoral is done because there is an immediate benefit, but yet more often than not the negative side effects down the road make it an easy choice if they would have just been considered first. I know that I can't change society, but the one person who's opinion I should have an influence on is my own. So I am going to try to be more conscious of my actions and consider how they might hurt me down the road. Whether it is in my personal or professional life, I hope that doing so will make it easier for me when it is time to face whatever consequence may result from my choices.

My Triumphant Return...
Life has dealt me an interesting hand the past few weeks. My personal life has changed dramatically, and it has been hard to determine where I stand as an individual and rediscovering life a year after college. My job has been less than adequate, and I have realized that I want to be a thinker from here on out, not a follower or someone who simply carries out someone else's wishes or demands. And most important... the Cavaliers are in a 3-2 hole going into game 6!!!
Now listen, I was at Game 5. I realize that being at the game gets you caught up in the emotions of an offense run, or a defense stop, but I am extremely unsatisfied with how the Cavs (err, excuse me... I mean LeBron) managed to win. We didn't win because of big stop defense, or suffocating post dominance. We won because for this night, LeBron was hitting his stupid iso offense in the 4th quarter, and remember what it is like to play without turning the ball over. Great, Boobie hit 3 tres, but is that really what we need to be counting on consistently? Nope. We need to have Z hitting 17 foot jumpers, Andy rolling to the rim, and Mo and Delonte creating some offense outside of handing the ball to Bron Bron with 12 on the shot clock. Love the Cavs, hate the coaching and execution.
So, you may ask,... "what have I been listening to recently?" Sorry that I haven't stayed committed to this blog but I suck at commitment. In my personal, professional, and blogging lives, I can't seem to find motivation to continue with something that I start. In all of them I want to be, but I find it hard for various reasons. Anyways, here is a countdown of the songs that have been doin it for me recently. Hate them or love them, this is my blog, so deal with it...
Goodnight, and thanks for checking out my blog.

Atmosphere Concert (almost!)
The rap duo Atmosphere was in town this week for a concert, and being the procrastinator that I am I didnt buy a ticket by the time that they sold out. But I was determined to go, so I picked up a friend and we went to stand outside and hopefully get lucky with extra tickets from other people going to the concert. Well, 3 hours later we were still ticketless but it wasn't all bad. The MC, Slug, came out front of the venue and was willing to meet, take pictures, and talk to any and all fans in attendance. So I ended up taking this pic with by far one of my favorite artists that i know.

Still didn't get in, but the consolation was Merry Arts taco night. I'll take that any Tuesday of the week...

Site Under Construction!
So last night I thought it would be a good idea to change the look of the blog. So I found all these cool templates, and tried to apply them... turns out when you do that it erases all the stuff on the page, and forces you to reload everything. So the ultimate goal is to make the site look better, so bare with me! Thanks!

Lookin' for the sweep...
Honestly now, there is no reason why the Hawks should win one in this series. I have been in agreement with every talking about this Atlanta team, and that they are young, athletic and full of energy. But there is where they have stopped: a group of individually talented players, but they are seriously lacking the coaching and maturity that is present with the Cavaliers. The Hawks are lacking exactly what noone mentions, maturity and experience. When you saw them unravel tonight it was because of a lack of synergy and coordination, not because they were out of breath. On top of all of that, now they are out 3 of their top 5 players, and there is no reason why the Cavs can't knock them out in 4 and have another week off before a worn out winner of the Boston Orlando series. And yes, Wally played alright tonight.
I will be out of town, gettin' buck nasty in Pittsburgh/Sharpsville (chyea) til' Monday. Enjoy your weekend!!

Apparently this was a class project for the students, and it was done in one take, no interruptions. Pretty cool twist to this Wayne beat, check it out!

I NEED HELP
Hey everyone, I unfortunately did not get to see the game tonight because I was at work!! So that was frustrating for me, but even more frustrating was that I thought I was going to see the last half. But then when I got home I had nowhere to watch it, so I followed online "live," although actually seeing players move instead of stats update would have been better. Anyways, I need to know how we looked in game 1 of the series. Obviously by the score we faired well, but how did you feel about it? How did we look? How did the MVP perform? Any highlight plays?
Feel free to comment, this post should turn into more of a discussion than anything. Thanks, and GO LEBRONALIERS!!

Congrats LeBron!
Not gonna write a full blown post, but just wanted to put it out there that LeBron rules the basketball world OFFICIALLY now. So we have the MVP, Coach of the Year, Rookie of the Year (D-Block, duh)... all that is left is team of the year, world, universe... So just have to run through the Hawks real quick, then Boston, then L.A.. Boom, done. Boom, there goes the dynamite. Anyways, Cavs have to make a statement tomorrow night, but I'm confident that they will.
