What a great day

Good morning! Today is once again justification that sunshine can make me happier than almost anything in the world. But if that wasn't enough, today is also a great day in sports. The Indians go for their first victory at 1, the Cavs take on the Celtics at 3, and the Masters is going on all the while. We could focus on any of those things to talk about in today's entry, so I will just randomly choooooose... the Cavs!

As the season comes to an end, it is obviously closer and closer to the naming of this year's MVP. In my opinion, it is a two man race between Kobe and LeBron. Even though Dwyane (or Dwayne, if you like to spell names the right way) Wade is having the best season of his career, his team doesn't have the record to back it up. And I am sorry, but if you are going to be the most valuable player in the league, it better be because you lead your team to victories. And when you look at Kobe and LeBron 1-on-1 I also don't think it is much of a competition. I have said many times that if I didn't live in Cleveland I wouldn't be a LeBron fan, but I can't deny that he has been unbelievable this year (28.3 pts, 7.3 Rs, 7.6 As). And now that we have clinched home court advantage in the playoffs, at an arena where we lost one game all season, our chances look good for a return trip to the NBA finals.

One last thing to consider about the Cavs' season. If they were to play a full MLB season, they would be on pace to win 131 games. The Indians are currently on pace to win... zero. Check out this dunk from Andre Iguodala against the Cavs on Thursday night:
