The Wizards? Really?!

Those wacky Washington Wizards, who have no sense of identity (Zephyrs? Bullets? Clowns?), pulled it out last night against me beloved Cavaliers. I would literally rather lose to a rag-tag bunch of washed up Looney Tune characters who are desperate for one last taste of success. Except there's nothing funny about Andray effin' Blatche. So let's start this out where all the hype is, with Gilbert Grape.

My biggest problem with him isn't that he came back for no reason this season. And it isn't that he was terrible in all aspects of last night's game either. My huge problem is that he is number 0. Remember growing up when you were choosing numbers for your jersey? Or if you're from Lakewood, your George J. Usher Insurance t-shirt? What was picked first? No, not #1. That didn't happen until Nelly made that number popular. The first always chosen was 23 because it was Michael Jordan. I don't care if it was for a croquet tournament or water polo. Everyone wanted 23 because Michael Jordan was the best athlete anyone had ever seen, so naturally everyone strived to be like him. But then, realistically, after 23 the next player would always go for 1 (I know I said it wasn't true, but I changed my mind). Because in all aspects of life people want to be number one. And this all comes back to my problem with GilZERO (which isn't even a creative nickname btw). What was he thinking?! Who strives to not exist? "When I grow up, I want to wear the number equated with failure..." just doesn't work. Now Darnell D-Block Jackson, he can rock the double zero look. But that's cause he is a tank, and it makes him look like an NFL lineman. But Arenas is just a lil' guy who spends all his time blogging (nerd alert). Maybe I'm just taking out my anger on Gil because I am trying to cover up the embarrassment I am feeling for having lost to Washington. I guess we do have to make things a little more interesting in the race for best record. Great job Washington, I'm really proud of you breaking into double digit wins for the season.

Being on vacation is glorious. Time to go do nothing and like it...
