I got out of work last night and realized that Spring really might be my favorite season afterall. It was sunny out at 6 PM, which obviously never happpens in the winter. I was on my way to dinner and watching the Cavs win yet again, no matter how hard they tried to lose. And I was on the phone talking about Indians Opening Day. Great weather, Cavs, Indians, stupid Marc Young college basketball is finally over... you truly can't beat it (0-4 in the Final Four).
The Cavs almost lost to the lowly Detroit Pistions last night... or as I like to call them now, the Pissed Ons. I realized last night something that I have been denying for a LONG time. I like both Varejao and Delonte. After Andy took yet another charge and became the leader in the league, I just had to laugh at how frustrated Detroit was over him, and that is what he does to teams every night. And then when LeBron hit him with a backdoor bounce pass, it made me think of how many times this year I have seen that play over and over again. LeBron's go to big man is now Andy, and I like it. And Delonte, no matter how ugly he is or uneducated he sounds, is a really good basketball player (and herpes wearer). Almost was going to include Wally in this conversation for when he was clapping in Rasheed Wallace's face after drawing the technical foul. But I still hate him.
In the end, I have nothing to do but celebrate right now. Celebration reminds me of partying. Partying reminds me of Zombie Nation (and riots in Paninis). And Zombie Nation, reminds me of the Cavs; close circle of life.
YEAH YEAH YEAH

I have always liked the way Delonte has played for us. Anderson has won me over this year and I could not imagine the cavs without him. We have to resign him this offseason. Zombie Nation = awesome slash awesome. Will never forget the Panini's riots haha.
zombie nation + southpark bono's 'YEA YEA YEA' = awesome
Delonte is a beast. Even though he sounds legally retarded when he talks, I think he's funny. Plus what other black guy has red hair?
Andy has dne a great job filling in for whatever big men have been out this year. He is also probably the second best finisher around the rim besides Lebron on our team. He makes about two crazy layups a game on backdoor cuts.
gdork04, way to come around onto the Delonte bandwagon. I remember you used to give me grief for liking him. I know you guys all say he sounds retarded/uneducated etc... but if you actually go through and listen to his interviews, he at the very least is very basketball intelligent and displays that through how he talks. Andy is a beast too. He has finally settled in his role, and generally doesn't make too many offensive mistakes. If he does make a mistake, he'll make up for it by grabbing clutch offensive rebounds, or tipping it our front, or taking a charge- so I'll live with it. I am still concerned with our somewhat weak inside presence though come playoff time... still giving up too many easy layups and dunks.
Along these same lines, Cleveland Rocks 1995 was on STO the other day. As I was watching i, I noticed one huge similarity between that team and the Cavs. The comraderie and the way the two teams seem to genuinely like and care about each other proves to be such an integral part of how well the team plays. I just hope our end result is different than the 95 Indians.
Dave on your day off... you can watch the Cavs game, or contemplate and think about if you can go to Miami this summer. Greg and I are in, let's do it South Beach style... I was thinking end of July (flights are about $180 roundtrip). Chea.
To end, I am sincerely distraught that the first thing I think of when I hear Zombie nation is Greg spraining his ankle on spring break, and not the infamous Panini's riots. Greg you suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck.
Happy 23 Birthday to me.
